Tres came to the shelter with her siblings Uno and Dos. Tres is a super sweet shy girl. Tres loves to play and would do great with another kitten/cat that can show her the world isn't so scary!
She went into a short term foster home and her foster mum told us: "We were lucky to foster Tres (whom we renamed Emily "Binx") for a week. She was the friendliest cat in the shelter- rubbed our legs and followed my two older kids around. Her eyes worried me as they were goopy, but she had an eye surgery, and her peculiar shape and look of her eyes just makes her an original and a beautiful Egyptian princess!
Once we got her home, she hid. She stayed in my two older girls' room, but was shy. She wanted to stay in her crate, and didn't eat or drink for about 24 hours.
After she warmed up, she would run to see my 11 and 9 year old girls each time they walked in the room, and she loved letting my 7 and 5 year old pet her.
She does NOT like loud noises or fast movement- I am wondering if she has some problems with her eyesight that makes her nervous when she can't see clearly or something quickly appears.
She did not like our dog- she didn't hiss or bite or bat at him in any way, but she was just terrified. Perhaps with more time, she would have warmed to him, but with only a week with us, we wanted her to be very comfortable and not nervous with a big, excited dog.
She loves to nap during the day and comes alive at night.
She is amazing with people and kids- she definitely just needs a calm environment with someone to love and spoil her.
She uses her litter box well, but throws up if she eats temptations treats. She is a great friend and we hope she is adopted soon!"
